Cherri Foytlin, la NASA e la chiesa

As scientists, speaking for ourselves and
not for any of our institutions,
we can say categorically that
it's not only not in the national interest,
it's also not in the planet's best interest.

James Hansen,
Goddard Institute for Space Studies - NASA

The stand against tar sand oil is basically
about protecting God's creation and God's people.

Reverendo Mari Castellano
a nome di 60 capi religiosi arrestati

Once you sell out like that,
once you give it away, they take it all.
It's not about jobs, it's about life.
It bothers me.

Cherri Foytlin - mamma

C'erano preti, c'erano persone normali, c'erano scienziati.

Dice:

I’m here to try and protect the people who are going to be affected by this pipeline, because we’ve seen how an oil spill can be devastating to a community. Our environment is not worth a few bucks and a few jobs here in the now.

I'm going to tell you what's going to happen, should there be a spill or something else that happens to that pipeline. First they are going to come in and they are going to lie to you and they are going to tell you that there is far less oil than it is. They'll own the response, they'll own the science, they'll own your healthcare, and they'll own whether or not you get compensated. And if you don't believe me living in the Gulf, then you can ask the people of the Kalamazoo river, in Michigan, you can ask the people of Valdez, Alaska, you can ask the people of Laure, Montana, you can ask the people of Ecuador you can ask the people of Nigeria.
